I am a Licensed Professional Engineer at Lockheed Martin Canada and the Lead of the End User Integrated Product Team for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC), a combat ship being designed for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).I have 15 years’ experience in airworthiness engineering, aerospace manufacturing, naval systems engineering & certification, and procurement cost engineering. I have developed and demonstrated strong leadership and management skills and have proven them in various roles at Bombardier and Lockheed Martin Canada.I have a PhD from Ryerson University in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Advanced Manufacturing Methods.I am a decisive, adept problem solver with a track record of successfully delivering results, building harmonious and effective relationships, motivating teams to achieve a shared goal, exemplifying flexibility, a love learning, and adaptability to any challenges.In my previous role as Airworthiness Engineer at Bombardier I led new aircraft certifications for the aircraft and individual systems, by domestic and foreign civil aviation government authorities. I managed aerospace design compliance, continuing airworthiness and ministerial delegation to support in-service aircraft. In my current role at Lockheed Martin, I maintain customer relationships and facilitate multi-domain engagements between the DND Program Management Office, members of the military and other industry partners. As the Cost Account Manager of the team, I ensure my portion of the CSC project stays within affordability levels. I also manage the team, assign tasks, ensure efficient time management, and recruit and evaluate in-house employees as potential team members. The End User Team is responsible for developing Operability Statements (OPSTATs), which define how CSC compartments will be used and how standard naval evolutions will be executed by the end user (RCN). These deliverables are a key component in ensuring the CSC design is fit for purpose.
