Servant Leadership/coaching is my focus - 'do' before you preach is the best way to simplify this. No job is too big or too small as an Agile Coach. My coaching plan focuses on instilling servant leadership into teams/ex-managers/leaders (tangible behaviours - customised to situations/culture) . ‘Don’t treat others like you want to be treated, treat others like ‘they’ want to be treated’, this is my biggest learning from my people leadership roles. I live by it. One more crucial learning from my career so far is to ‘manage issues and lead people’. I love building things – may it be relationships with stakeholders, building a team or a solid/high performing BA practice (agile & waterfall or both!). Agile CoachThe ability to explain ‘something’ to ‘someone’ in a short frame of time and in as few words as possible is quite rare. I continually strive to refine this ability of mine. Empathy is my key tool that I use to practice this. Agile is the best communication tool there is – visibility & transparency are its cornerstones and I use these to talk to everyone in the business. I prefer Scrum & Safe :-). Once I understand ‘someone’s’ perspective, I find it real easy to talk in their language. Tailoring information to the audience – I enjoy that ‘aha’ moment on people’s faces, this is when I know that I have made a difference and achieved the objective I set out to achieve of coaching towards an 'Agile Mindset'SkillsRapid adaptability to any sector and execution of my career’s learning’s in a new challenging environment is what I am proud of. Throw me in the deep end of the sea and I will come out with a butterfly stroke, simply because I stay calm and respond to my environment instead of reacting to it.
