While interning in Sugar Land, I handled about five to seven projects at one time, which frequently required prioritizing in relation to deadlines. Depending on the scope of the project, I assisted with policy research and analysis, GIS data entry and map making, compiling data into reports, creating infographics, and interacting with multiple departments and staff. I was also exposed to municipal government procedures in relation to development planning with the ongoing development code update.

Bryan/College Station, Texas Area

As a student worker, I served international students at the front desk with requests or questions related to their immigration status. Providing such information required me to handle difficult conversations and direct students to the right information. I assisted up to 50 students per day through multiple modes of communication such as in-person, phone, or email, which required high level of written and verbal communication skills.

Brownsville, Texas Area

As an intern, I prepared and analyzed reports regarding demographics, market, and employment. I used Esri Community Analyst databases to gather information for City Council on current and projected conditions in their district. I collaborated with two architecture interns on a streetscape redevelopment project, which is now complete. The last project assigned consisted of gathering preliminary research of successful food truck parks in other cities to be presented to local community organizations for support with the end goal of allowing food truck parks as a land use in the city.
