As an independent consultant in the life sciences and healthcare technology sector, I leverage my extensive experience to provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to a diverse range of clients. My consulting practice focuses on digital health strategy, cloud computing solutions, data management and analytics, AI/ML integration, regulatory compliance, product development consulting, and technology vendor selection and management. I aim to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical healthcare applications, helping organizations navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of digital health and life sciences innovation.

In my role as EVP of Product Development at Lokavant, I led the development of a growth stage startup focused on clinical trials, AI, and data-driven decision making. I directed the product path, technology, and pushed boundaries of R&D with AI/ML technologies. I worked closely with the Leadership Team and board to communicate our product strategy, technical path, and commercial viability.

I lead a team of Solution Architects (SAs) who are specialists in all the Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) sub-verticals (Payor, Provider, EHR/EMR, Genomics, Regulatory, Medical Devices, etc.). We focus our efforts on Partners - companies that utilize AWS to deliver software solutions and consulting solutions to companies across the HCLS spectrum. We work to recruit new partners into the Amazon Partner Network and demonstrate how AWS services, from compute to storage to AI/ML, can make their software solutions faster, more effective and less expensive to run on the cloud. We enable new functionality and features, by consulting with our partners and providing them the technical expertise and knowledge of all the AWS services.

My goals as part of R&D ITS at Sanofi are:1) Create an Integrated Analytics Workbench: moving Sanofi's R&D IT capabilities to the cloud with a focus on data management, ontologies, F.A.I.R. principles, high performance computing, scientific computing and enabling data scientists.2) Enable precision medicine by enabling our scientists to find more reliable targets from all the data we have access to - from RWE to genetics to public data to internal data. We are active members of the OpenTargets public-private partnership and we are actively working with the consortia to improve the data and the customization of the OpenTargets UI. We aim to make our internal OpenTargets platform the benchmark of the industry.3) We are enabling our R&D colleagues by providing IT services dedicated to Single Cell Sequencing. From bespoke applications to data management of complex data sets and evaluation of commercial and open source tools, our goal is to make these rapidly evolving techniques accessible to a wide range of scientists.4) Working hand in hand with our Data Sciences team, my team enables the data management that enables the AI/ML/DL and other aspects of advanced and applied statistics.

As part of the Chief Data Office, I lead a team building Enterprise Information Management solutions at Sanofi. We lead API implementations, data governance and data management and we developed a Data Catalog to make Sanofi's data assets Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable (FAIR). We focused on ontology management and data tagging, while creating data driven solutions for end users across the business.

Product Manager for the Research Life Sciences Cloud (RLSC - now Intient). Work with colleagues in technology and sales to build a cloud centric architecture for handling research data. Partnered with multiple companies - from start ups in AI to established players in ELNs - to build a network of RLSC companies. Enabled ontology driven data management on both Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services for the wide variety of research and development data in pharmaceutical and other life science companies. Influenced the design of user interfaces and workflows, focusing on the end user experience.

Worked with pharmaceutical/biotech and academic institutions to utilize the data, expertise and technology available at GeneDX and BioReference Laboratories to accelerate R&D. Pulled data from multiple purpose-built systems into an interactive population explorer software tool which enabled both internal teams and external collaborators to interrogate next generation sequencing and other –omics based testing, build populations of cohorts and visually mine decades’ worth of data. Spoke at conferences and sales meetings, helping educate potential customers and collaborators on the benefits of Whole Exome Sequencing for pharmaceutical R&D efforts. Advocated for, advised, and oversaw the construction of new technological platforms utilizing noSQL, the cloud, ontologies, and other ‘modern’ methods of storing/searching and mining data. Worked with internal stakeholders to build new applications to modernize and automate workflows. Expanded the marketplace’s knowledge of BioReference/GeneDX by building the first commercial GA4GH Beacon and participating in multiple external collaborations

As the Vice President of Disruptive Innovation, pioneered Thomson Reuters’ Healthcare and Science efforts to enable content dissemination into new areas of customer interest, including the building of APIs to our scientific and pipeline databases, exposing our ontologies via APIs, and integrating Thomson Reuters data into 3rd party software tools (ELNs, workflow tools, etc.). Founded http://www.cortellislabs.com for the demonstration of novel and innovative applications of content with modern web based tools. Managed an international team of sales and technical professionals who built, deployed, demonstrated and sold custom technical solutions. Developed partnerships with companies and organizations ranging from the Pistoia Alliance, GA4GH, to software vendors and database companies.

Lead a globally distributed team of technical professionals, ranging from product specialists to training to custom solutions. Responsible for uncovering new opportunities and new technological innovation in the global pharmaceutical and life sciences space. A customer evangelist, worked with multiple customers and technological innovators to bring new opportunities to market.
