I have worked in the Pharmaceutical, Food and Drug testing industry for 3 years+.After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences, I went into the microbiology industry. My work was centered around food testing, food processing and media preparation. This experience has taught me broad principles such as pathogen detection and characterization, indicators and industrial microorganisms, as well as environmental monitoring.My experience in food testing has given me the resources to transfer my skills over to pharmacovigilance and I am currently the QC Team Lead for CSL Behring Kankakee. My work is centered around paying attention to every detail, good documentation practices, environmental monitoring of clean rooms, GxP principles and broad knowledge of FDA requirements. Being in leadership roles over the course of the last 4 years allows me to bring fresh ideas and the ability to work well with others to any workplace. The work that I do day to day makes me feel fulfilled and happy knowing that I make sure our products are safe for our patients.
