About Amber Brierley

Recently completed Master of Science (Research) at UTS, with the Algal group looking into innovative ways to improve algae pigment production for novel food applications. My research focused on the cyanobacteria Fremyella diplosiphon, which is able to produce two pigments (phycocyanin & phycoerythrin) under different light conditions. Previous to researching I completed a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at UTS which has helped to build a passion for algal research to be applied in improving the way we take care of our world.
