• Analyze and write abstracts from a variety of academic sources into a tactical report focusing on civilian protection strategies in armed conflict and provide weekly oral briefings to managing professor. • Transcribe and translate field interviews from Spanish to English for use in Dr. Marie Berry’s research and upcoming book.

• Edit articles concerning US and Chinese domestic and foreign policy issues to prepare for publication in the Journey of Contemporary China, the only English language journal edited in North America that provides information about contemporary Chinese affairs. • Manage communications between assigned editors and prospective authors to facilitate the publications of issues of the Journal of Contemporary China.

• Planned, researched, and developed an internal project management system to coordinate information flow and track progress related to the USNORTHCOM Humanitarian Assistance mission. • Provided oral briefings and updates on humanitarian assistance projects to senior supervisors.

• Collaborated with Japanese Teachers of English in the development of lessons to present English in an authentic cultural context; instructed classes ranging from 1-50 students in a junior high school of 1000+ students and in a weekly rotation of six different elementary schools. • Managed assistant language teachers from the Sister Cities and Japanese Exchange Teaching programs as president of the e-board, directing monthly meetings and organizing cultural events for the community to raise English language interest. • Incorporated technology into classroom activities and lessons, such as interactive PowerPoint games and an original escape room, as unconventional teaching methods to engage students in English education.
