My journey as a bookkeeper started in 2004 when I was hired as the "General Manager" of The Garage Pub & Eatery after completing my Bachelor of Management degree with a major in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. I dove into learning everything I could about The Garage and the restaurant industry. I wanted to make the pub a place where everyone wanted to gather. Along with my culinary background, I was able to create a new menu, set-up portion control measures and work along side the industry's experts. As my husband and I started a family in 2009 I stepped back from managing and focused on the flexibility of bookkeeping. I was able to spend time with my children but also focus on understanding the unique needs of the clients I retained and tailored bookkeeping solutions to optimize their financial processes.I take pride in my organizational skills; My meticulous approach ensures that every transaction is accounted for in a timely manner, providing a solid foundation for financial analysis and decision-making.In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, I have embraced and mastered various accounting software programs including QuickBooks, Xero and Sage 50. As well, I have become proficient with the payroll provider "Payworks".
