I do this by creating events on the community college campuses for students to attend as well as participate in college fairs, conferences, conventions, and other venues to promote Athens State's degree programs. I review applications, make admissions decisions and assist students with the next steps in the process. I manage a large territory including 5 community colleges in TN, 5 Community Colleges in South Alabama as well as Calhoun Community College (the largest community college in Alabama.) Achievements: Came up with creative ways to reach students during COVID-19 Pandemic to include:• Created first ever Drive-In movie experience for students during COVID - 19 Pandemic.• Designed admissions video to share with over 1,200 orientation students at Calhoun Community College.• Produced admissions video with co-worker called: The Admissions Process at Athens State University.• Helped plan and organize first virtual counselor update.• Took the lead with new nursing program- grew program to generate over $250,000 in new revenue for the university within its first year.•Established three new learning partnerships to grow nursing and other programs. I remember many late nights scrubbing dried up bean juice out of the wells and mopping the floor. I had some fun too. Food fights and learning how the chopped beef was made. Don't ask. :)
