Recruitment and retention of legal talent is where my passion lies.I work alongside our Senior Director of Professional Development on a variety of initiatives with both students and associates, including law school liaison initiatives, onboarding, orientation, continuing professional development, performance reviews and teambuilding events.With a particular focus on the student program at Fasken, I coordinate all aspects of student recruitment. For our students, from the moment I process their initial application, until I eventually submit their Barrister and Solicitor Oath, I am a key contact, ensuring they have the tools to thrive in our community. Upon transition to associate, the support from our Professional Development team continues - building on the many opportunities for support, coaching and mentoring within our firm.

Provided high level administrative support to the Director and Associate Director and worked closely with the firm’s national Professional Growth & Management team and Professional Services Committee Co-chairs on a variety of initiatives, including lawyer performance assessments, summer and articling student performance assessments, and continuing professional development; coordinated the administrative components of the Vancouver and Calgary summer and articling student programs, including law society filings and social events; worked closely with the Associate Director to carry out law school liaison initiatives, including events and sponsorships; provided coordination and administrative support of the firm’s summer student recruitment efforts in Vancouver and Calgary, and lawyer recruitment efforts in Vancouver, Calgary and Hong Kong.
