Top 40 Under 40 - Class of 2022Since 2005, I’ve been a professional writer, designer and creator, starting off in traditional media and then moving into the real estate industry. I got the marketing bug during my early years in real estate, and my yearn for creative freedom eventually brought me to starting my own marketing and creative agency in 2011. For 10 years, I worked with over 120 companies on everything from design and branding to social media and marketing strategy. During that time, I worked in industries from real estate to hospitality, non-profit to wellness and so many things between! In 2017, I was given the opportunity to join one of my clients full-time in the budding cannabis industry which was about to legalize in Canada. From 2017 to 2024, I worked in both the medical and recreational cannabis industries, working in marketing, merchandising and part of the executive team that managed a peak of 41 retail locations and 242 employees. I helped lead us to many industry-firsts and gained a lifetime of experience.In addition to all of this, I developed a Cannabis Retail Marketing course for Mount Royal University, which I also taught for three years. When I’m not working, I am the board chair, podcast host and therapeutic group facilitator at a charity that supports trauma survivors.
