After working for over two decades as a School Psychologist in school settings, I have made the exciting decision to start my own business! Gumm Consulting, Assessment, and Advocacy Services (GCAAS) was founded as an effort to support parents and students with navigating the often difficult world of special education, IEP services, and 504 accommodations. I provide psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, to determine if a disability exists (learning disability, ADHD, Autism, etc). I also provide advocacy support to parents by attending meetings and helping them work with their child’s school. In addition, I can provide schools and school districts with consultative support and student evaluations.

-Supervises the institution's Student Disability Service’s Testing Department whichprovides testing accommodations for undergraduate students with disabilities-Leads project management efforts in shifting testing services from paper-based tocomputer-based assessment-Assists in the development of memorandums of understanding, standard operatingprocedures and policies which reflect best practices-Trains and supervises full-time SDS staff and provides oversight for part-time studentemployees-Manage a caseload of college, graduate, and professional students with disabilities-Conducts intake meetings with students to discuss their access needs-Reviews supporting documentation including medical, educational, and/orpsychological assessments.-Makes determinations regarding necessary reasonable accommodations inaccordance with the ADA, Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, ADAA, stateand local disability regulations, the Fair Housing Act, relevant case law, legal guidance,and University policies and procedures-Provides training and support to instructors, advisers, deans of students, disabilityliaisons and campus partners on disability service implementation, accessibility andthe laws-Performs a broad range of duties related to the case management of students'requests for disability services-Strives to eradicate systemic barriers and champion equitable access for everyone*In the role of Hiring Manager: creates job descriptions, developsinterview questions and protocols, schedule and conduct screenings and interviews,hires staff, designs training programs, conducts evaluations, andprovides coaching, support, and motivation

-Oversaw, led, and assured compliance of Preschool/Early Childhood programs-Oversaw, led, and trained approximately 60 paraprofessional-Provided mentoring, coaching, and training to psychologists-Developed family programs, events, and activities-Participated in recruitment and personnel selection process-Provided professional development and training to staff-Led eligibility, problem solving, and data meetings

- Led domain and eligibility meetings consisting of the multidisciplinary team and parents- Established, developed and participated in problem solving team meetings - Evaluated Response to Intervention (RTI)/Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) data to help develop instructional strategies and interventions for students- Led Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments (TPBA)- Conducted early entrance evaluations for potential kindergarten students- Led monthly preschool screenings- Consulted with and acted as a resource to teachers, administrators, and parents to meet students’ academic, behavioral and social-emotional needs- Worked closely with the Director of Special Education and case managers to ensure state compliance and best practices - Analyzed Response to Intervention (RTI) data to help develop instructional strategies and interventions for students in all three tiers.
