In this position, I am collaborating on creating and implementing retention and appreciation programs for the Volunteer Program on the National Sexual Assault Hotline. My goal is to create community and increase satisfaction and commitment. I offer emotional support, facilitate communication, and provide training and feedback for over 350 active volunteers.

I worked with RAINN's Department of Defense SafeHelpline offering crisis intervention and support to victims of sexual assault in the DoD community. I was trained in crisis intervention skills and how to work with survivors of varying types of sexual assault with an emphasis in military survivors. I answered phone calls and take online chats to assist this.

In this position, I facilitated group therapy to educate and assist adult, low-income clients with managing mental health symptoms, social skills, and problem-solving skills. I developed rapport with the rehab group participants and used group therapeutic techniques to assist clients in attaining their treatment goals. I documented client progress to track.

As an intern with COMPASS, I conducted court mandated counseling sessions for juvenile sex offenders following manualized CBT treatment methods. I developed rapport and used Cognitive Behavioral techniques to help clients reach therapeutic goals in manualized treatment. Throughout my work with clients, I wrote concise reports to present client information.

In this position, I developed rapport with clients to assist them in progress toward treatment goals, adhered to professional ethics standards while providing the best possible care for clients, and gathered and documented case information to track treatment progress utilizing Credible for official documentation

I had several positions at Maple Lake Academy. I started as an intern as an on call mentor. After a couple of months, I was hired on shift. After working throughout the summer, I was hired as an assistant supervisor on the same shift. Each of these positions involves interacting with students with a variety of mental and learning disabilities..

One aspect of my work here was general office duties. I answered phone calls, emails, and requests from faculty and staff. I also worked on special projects including upkeep of bulletin boards, mail servicing, key auditing, and other tasks needed by administration or faculty. The second aspect of my job was accounting. This was merely a summer job, but while here I gained experience in coordinating, setting up, and managing events from staff meetings to weddings. When I wasn't working with events I would assist with organizing invoices, receipts, and other office tasks. In general, this job was great preparation for working with others and in an office setting.
