Eric entered the U.S. Army in the mid-nineties, and subsequently served as a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command. During his span with CID, he was hand-selected to provide executive level protection for several DoD leaders, including the Chaiman of Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of Defense. His primary area of specialty however was leading Special Victims Unit (SVU) teams, with a focus on DV, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse investigations. In addition, Eric retired as a Combat Veteran, serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq.Following retirement from the military in 2013, Eric transitioned into victim advocacy with the U.S. Air Force as a full-time civilian Victim Advocate at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. He later accepted a position with the U.S. Coast Guard as a SARC with the responsibility of managing the Sexual Assault Prevention, Response and Recovery (SAPRR) program throughout District 11.In 2018, Eric accepted a position as a Training Manager for the U.S. Center for SafeSport, where he developed sexual misconduct and abuse prevention curriculum for sports programs, including the creation of Athlete Safety Coordinator (ASC) training standards, and organization of the Center's Annual Summit for the Olympic and Paralympic movement. That same year, he founded Difference Makers (10 Strong), which was a collaborative partnership with similar subject matter experts who provided prevention training and expert consultation to various organizations around the nation. He would later serve as a Learning and Development Manager for the YWCA Golden Gate Silicon Valley, where he was responsible for creating staff and volunteer victim advocate training with a focus on sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking.In 2022, Eric accepted a position as a Maritime Safety and Social Responsibility Analyst for the U.S. Maritime Administration, where he served as a sexual assault sexual harassment (SASH) prevention and response Highly Qualified Expert (HQE).In 2024, Eric was selected to serve as the Vice President of the DOD Safe Helpline.
