Ph.D. in Applied Biology. Areas of research include cell, and molecular biology, stem cell research, infectious diseases, and biochemistry. Currently, a post-doctoral fellow in the tuberculosis department at the Foundation for Medical Research, where my work focuses on using functional genomics and in-vitro studies to gain insight into the mechanism of infectiousness of TB bacilli, with an interest in answering the question - how TB treatment affects the infectiousness of bacilli. I have had the opportunity to develop and test non-invasive patient aerosol sampling method to detect viable TB bacilli, diversify my work to address shifts in respiratory microbiome post TB treatment, and foray into SARS- CoV-2 research.
