I am a Founder and CISO at QRI (https://www.qri.gg). We work with family offices and closely-held private businesses to protect their assets and the health of their business.Prior to this, I was the sole Founder and CEO of Managed Security Services Provider ThinkMarble, rebranded to Norm ™ (https://www.normcyber.com), I worked with the team to grow ThinkMarble from a bootstrapped business, through PE rounds, creating 50 jobs and protecting multiple companies across the UK and Europe. I remained with the business till just after the sale to the new investors in late 2019.I have worked with over 50+ organisations on large information security transformation programmes.Typically, my work has been at C-level and board level, providing advice on information & cyber security strategy, to lead the evolution from legacy security initiatives to modern automated operating models, with expert advice.In addition, I am frequently recognised for my ability to demystify the chaos and fear that many security consultancies, vendors, and service providers are responsible for - this skill means that I am regularly invited to advise owners on a one-to-one basis. I am ably supported by my colleagues, who are renowned for their global expertise: Rick Denton (Family Office), Sandip Patel KC (Data Protection & security Law) and Benjamin Wootton (Digital transformation & data expert), who also bring a calming and non-technical understanding to the fold.In 2018, my work was recognised by both the UK and by my colleagues and I was awarded the SME Industry Champion by the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). I am very proud of this award, as it was an unexpected award and not one that could be entered for.In addition to my work at QRI, I am a commercial and use application adviser to research academia and an expert witness. I also volunteer my time as a Trustee and to the NHS First Responder.Earlier in my career, I led operational and financial transformation programs, to £0.5BN.I currently split my time between the UK and Europe.
