The GPS course at WPI is a course designed to acclimate Freshmen to research and project work and expectations at the undergraduate level. As a PLA during the first half of the course, I grade assignments and work with individual students as well as groups. The goal of this first half is to give feedback and develop writing, presenting, and researching skills. In the second half of the course, students tackle a great problem that the world is facing and work in teams to find a solution. During this portion of the course, I serve as an advisor to help guide their work as they approach their solution.

As a PLA for the Mathematical Sciences department at WPI, my responsibilities include grading assignments and exams, teaching discussion sessions (classes where the focus is working on practice problems from previously as opposed to learning new content), holding office hours, and working in the Math Tutoring Center. PLAs work with one professor per term; responsibilities vary based on how each professor runs their course.I currently have the above responsibilities for courses such as single-variable and multi-variable differential and integral Calculus, ordinary and partial differential equations, linear algebra, vector calculus, and sequences/Series.

At Solvus Global, I am working as an intern for the company's business unit: VALIS.My role within VALIS is to collect material data from scrap given to us by processors in order to enhance VALIS's process optimization software tools. These tools are designed to integrate with sensor based sorting systems and assist with quality monitoring with the goal of fostering the upcycling of scrap.
