Working as an arts and health experts with the European Expert Network on Culture (EENC) for the EU Commission's Open Method of Coordination on Culture & Health - helping Member States draft the first OMC report on Culture & Health, raising the profile of this field in international policy.

Rapporteur and co-facilitator: "Expert meeting on NCD prevention and control: learning from the arts"First WHO expert meeting addressing the connection between public health and the arts. Lead author of the post-conference report, which, alongside country case studies and the evidence base, focuses on the policy implications and strategies required to integrate artistic and cultural approaches in public health interventions.

Developing a new focus area on Arts and Health for ITAC, one of the largest networks of socially-engaged artists (“teaching- artists”). This includes designing the operational framework, identifying partners and funders, and drafting sector-specific pitches for arts in the public health domain

Actively exploring different fronts, including the public health, communications, and cultural arenas. Seeking ways to work at the intersection between the worlds of international development (including public and environmental health) and those of culture, creativity and the arts. Recently completed three years in Mali, where I was helping run a national awareness-raising campaign, working in a public-private-partnership. Alongside, I was building a profile in the cultural industries. Prior to this, I worked for 8 years in public health research and implementation, focusing on water, sanitation & hygiene (WASH). Moved back to Geneva in December 2019, where I was honoured to participate in the UNESCO/UNHCR/OHCHR Art-Lab Design Thinking Jam, and join the Swiss-Water-Partnership (SWP) Youth.

Supporting design, coordination, management of the “Voices of the River: Pathways to Peace” project (2021-2022). Collaborating with world-class artists from Senegal, Mauritania, Mali and Guinea (Baaba Maal, Fatoumata Diawara, Daara J, Noumoucounda Cissoko, Sekou Kouyate, Noura Mint Seymali). Chief highlights included co-organizing the Festival A Sahel Ouvert (Mboumba, Senegal) and performances and panels at the 9th World Water Forum in Dakar.

Supporting the IMPACT: Peacebuilding and the Arts network for arts and culture in conflict transformation. Included convening global gatherings of socially engaged artists to discuss COVID, conflict-resolution and sustainability. One of the lead editors on a book, and first author on two chapters for the Porticus Foundation and Community Arts Network entitled “Invite|Affirm|Evoke|Unleash: How artistic and cultural processes transform complex challenges.” See publications.

I have written a number of articles for UNESCO's Art Lab for Human Rights and Dialogue, focusing on cultural and artistic practices that address wider social concerns. My articles have included Indigenous initiatives, cultural relief in the Middle East, and work with young migrants in Europe.

Helping organize the 12th edition of the Photography Biennale in Mali. Focusing on event logistics and artist management. Our band "Kouleur Jazzy" also had the honour of opening the event.

Country project manager for a PR and social marketing firm (2019 EMEA healthcare agency of the year) working on the Guinea Worm Eradication Programme. Managing all activities pertaining to Mali, and working closely with the Carter Center and the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Development. Activities included developing campaign materials, national-level dissemination, workshops, training, representing the company at national conferences, overseeing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) design and implementation, and human resources management. Campaign was present nationally and in every district of the country, including radio and television, an official song and video clip, local theater troupes and posters.

Leading a two-country evaluation of user acceptability and adherence for a novel water treatment technology (developed by a large multinational) for emergency and non-emergency contexts. Research was conducted in Lusaka, Zambia and Sindh, Pakistan.

Leading the design, implementation and analysis of a survey assessing acceptability, water quality, effectiveness, and demand related to water treatment (1000 households in two districts). A collaboration between LSHTM, Duke University, WaterSHED Asia and UNC’s Gillings School of Public Health.

Development of a toolkit to guide the integration of private water treatment systems in Cambodia, facilitating the decision-making process and collaboration between the Cambodian Ministry of Health, Ministry of Rural Development, local private sector providers and NGO partners.

Helping manage the Secretariat of the International Network to Promote Household Water Treatment and Safe Storage, a network of over 160 members, spanning international organizations, bi/multi-lateral entities, governments, private sector, and NGOs. Responsibilities included coordinating working groups and the development of strategic directions, consolidating and drafting official reports, as well as organizing, facilitating, and participating in two national policy conferences in Tanzania (Feb 2009) and D.R.Congo (July 2009). Additional consultancy (Dec. 2009): evaluating pilot projects in Douala, Cameroon and Kisumu, Kenya, on the impact of integrated interventions for indoor air pollution and water treatment.
