    Invited by Prof. Loram.We studied the contribution to balance of spinal, transcortical and voluntary pathways and the non-linearity of balance control, observing human-in-the-loop myoelectric control of an inverted pendulum system providing natural haptic, visual and vestibular feedback to the participant. We analyzed the myoelectric control signal in human participants in relation to the discrete perturbations with varying inter-stimulus-intervals. We fit the closed loop response using one linear and two non-linear non-parametric models.
