The Master aims at the training of the Physiotherapist specialized in home and distance rehabilitation, through the development of specific skills to support and treat people with acute or chronic disabilities using innovative information and communication technology (ICT) - based tools for remote monitoring and care.

Invited by Prof. Loram.We studied the contribution to balance of spinal, transcortical and voluntary pathways and the non-linearity of balance control, observing human-in-the-loop myoelectric control of an inverted pendulum system providing natural haptic, visual and vestibular feedback to the participant. We analyzed the myoelectric control signal in human participants in relation to the discrete perturbations with varying inter-stimulus-intervals. We fit the closed loop response using one linear and two non-linear non-parametric models.

Invited by Prof. Loram.We studied motor learning strategies observing human-in-the-loop myoelectric control of an inverted pendulum system providing natural haptic, visual and vestibular feedback to the participant. Using challenging perturbation trials, over five sessions repeated on separate days, participants were trained to maintain balance without falling and were tested before and after training.
