I am a pre-MD/DO recent graduate from UNC Chapel Hill with a Psychology B.A. and a Chemistry minor. I am taking two gap years before I plan to start medical school. I have diverse interests, but within medicine my goal is to be a compassionate physician with a focus on the LGBTQ+ community. During my gap years, I am focusing on developing a strong foundation. Through research, volunteering, and personal development, I believe these years will better inform my future in medicine. My goal is to learn about and improve upon discrimination in my community. Thus far I have done this through my work as a volunteer for The Trevor Project, a leading organization for LGBTQ+ youth in crisis, and during my time at UNC when I volunteered at a pediatric psychiatric inpatient facility. More recently, I was accepted by UNC Birth Partners to undergo Doula training and support birthing people free of charge. I am currently seeking employment and experience opportunities in research, medicine, and activism.
