I am an Event Specialist who has been in the events/ hospitality industry for the last 5 years. My introduction to the industry was as a day-of coordinator for a luxury wedding venue in Niagara-on-the-Lake which transitioned into an event planning role after attending George Brown College in Special Event Management. Since then, I have planned and executed corporate events, weddings, and socials. I have provided on-site coordination for events both independently and in a collaborative role of varying magnitudes. These events have spanned from private small-scale events to international large-scale events, all of which are are afforded an equal amount of attention to detail and effort. Components which I have planned and facilitated include logistics for all events, such as contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, marketing materials and more. I find the most successful outcomes come from maintaining and developing longstanding relationships with venues, vendors, and clients. I am comfortable with guiding clientele through the planning process, which includes conception through post-event review and managing on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; and ensuring consistent, high-level service throughout all phases. My experience has allowed me to develop the skills to resolve unexpected obstacles while adhering to a strict event timeline.
