As a Communications Associate, I represent IRIS' PR team in all things EdTech, making noise about our best-in-class education software solutions which help education leaders and their staff save time focus on what matters: boosting student outcomes. 👩‍🎓Additionally, I am a core member of our podcast team for our IRIS Interviews podcast, working with influencers and key stakeholders across all our sectors to produce a range of original and interesting podcast episodes. 🎙Prior to my career in Corporate Communications, I spent 18 months at Apple working as a Specialist, helping customers choose the right product for them, and later as the only female Creative in the Cardiff store, where I presented engaging sessions to a range of customers to boost their knowledge and ignite their passion for creativity and learning. As part of the Creative team, I also hosted daily learning and discovery sessions for internal staff, particularly during Launch Seasons, and played a key role in onboarding new starters, acting as a teacher and support. Graduating in 2021 with a first-class BA(Hons) degree philosophy and media degree, my time studying at Nottingham Trent University enabled me to undertake a multitude of projects and research, including writing, directing, editing and analysing an original short film, interning at Beeston Film Festival and pioneering their first ever podcast where I interviewed independent filmmakers, and writing a dissertation of exceptional quality during the Covid-19 pandemic, evaluating Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytical approach to religious belief.
