Design and develop plans for large and small structural projects. Design elements include piers, abutments, steel girders, PPC beams, decks, and retaining walls. Designed, developed, and tested a novel sensor for structural health monitoring. Predicted the behavior of the sensor using analytical modeling and finite element simulations. Designed and performed laboratory experiments to measure the behavior of the sensor. Authored several conference and journal papers this research and presented findings at several conferences and seminars.

Teaching Assistant for three courses: Soil Mechanics, Introduction to Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Civil and Environmental Engineering Senior Design. Graded homework and papers, held office hours, and assisted in lectures and class discussions.

Determined the directional-dependence of the capacity of a warehouse frame using finite element software, and calculated the probability of failure of that frame.

Developed computer model to estimate the uncertainty of structural damping during tall building response to wind loads.
