Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between marketing and engineering department- New Product Design with high emphasis on DFM (Design For Manufacture), with average development cycle time 9-12months for gas fired appliances- Product Testing and Certification to ANSI Z21.88 Room Heater Standard.- Manufacturing analysis to monitor cost effectiveness of project. Keeping project within manufacturing capabilities, else in charge of sourcing specialty tooling / machinery. Lean manufacturing, Poka-Yoke assembly, quality at the source, and multiple kaisans during development. - Creation of project bill of materials (BOM), tracking items’ lead times and costs.- Creation of technical drawings and solid models for all sheet metal, cast iron, and vendor components, used in appliance - Vendor selection and relationship building, goal being to reduce order quantities, and lessen delivery lead times. - Project progress updates and marketing presentations, including budgetary summary and timeline updates through project development.
