As a Banker, I was now able to effectively help customers with their accounts. When a teller would refer a customer to my desk whether it was regarding an issue, selling them a product, or possibly inquiring about products. I was now able to effectively help the customer once I became a licensed banker. If I could resolve a customers issue without them being there I’d contact the box office and allow them to leave. I would later contact them regarding the resolution of their issue. We did not have a permanent Mortgage officer in the Branch. If a customer would need to get a hold of someone it was always a challenge. I’d be sure to try and contact the Mortgage officers first and pass on the customers contact information to them. This way, customers would not get frustrated when a Mortgage Officer would not get back to them.

To the best of my ability I would answer as many questions as I can regarding their accounts. If I was unable to provide them with a definite answer I would research until I found the answer to their question. I would help customers make their deposits, payments and withdrawals. I’d look at customers accounts to see what products I could recommend that would benefit them. I’d provide them the best customer service and to the best of my ability make them feel special. When the manager was not around I would be left as the lead teller to coordinate with our bankers and tellers in the branch. I was given responsibility of the Branch for about six months until a set manager was found.
