2024 Teacher of the Year awarded by North Valley Chamber of Commerce and AP Language/ELA teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience, I hold a California Clear Credential with a B.A. and M.F.A in English Literature and Creative Writing. Named Alliance for College-Ready Master teacher for 5 consecutive years for instructional leadership, engaging, rigorous lessons, and deep content knowledge. My classes have been described as creative, lively and inspiring and one of my objectives is to make difficult material accessible to a wide variety of learners. To this end, it has been my goal to make each student confident that he or she can flourish in my classroom and beyond. All children are excited to learn when they are challenged with high expectations and given the resources to meet those expectations. My pass rate for AP Language is over 90%.
