Currently leading a unified recruiting approach for the cooperative system by identifying areas of opportunity, intentional networking and relationship building, initiating broad-scale communication, and organizing collaborative idea sharing.

Partnering with existing System talent to engage candidates for experienced professional and internship roles across the FS & GROWMARK System trade territory. Our team utilizes networks of professionals and maintains valuable relationships to create talent pipelines of people wanting to help feed and fuel the world. Our team also works to host 2 unique internship programs annually with an average of 90 interns from universities, community colleges, and technical institutions. We are working to engage the talent of tomorrow today.

I had the opportunity to facilitate and manage a leadership program for our trade territory called Aspiring Leaders. During the 3-month journey of the program, content facilitated include mindset, leadership theories and foundational leadership fundamentals, emotional intelligence, defining leadership for participants as an individual, applying System leadership competency model, and working through a capstone project to present to System leadership. The role also included facilitating our customer experience training for 300 employees and managing the training for 2,000 employees. The content communicates our System values and how to serve our customers with an unsurpassed customer experience. I utilized analytics reporting and metrics to see the project to completion.Additional goals & project work included: creating and facilitating a virtual presenter certification program, Lean Six Sigma certification and yellow belt project, partnering to create a journey for new employees to complete during the onboarding process, coaching Senior Leadership Development participants, consulting teams and customizing development solutions to increase productivity

Served as a performance consultant by creating and facilitating development opportunities to fit employee essential skill needs through classroom instruction, webinars, podcasts, and other learning modalities. I connected learning to employees’ lives - both personally and professionally. Skill areas include: public speaking, time management, communication, customer experience, identifying and working with strengths and behavioral styles, development plans, and more! My goa was to assist individuals in reaching their highest potential. I also developed an Employee Development strategy – connecting our career path competencies to development courses and resources we offer as a company. Other projects included: the Great Relationships initiative which involves enhancing GROWMARK’s employee onboarding and orientation.

Fuel is a huge part of not only the agriculture industry, but the national and global economy. I had the opportunity to record and communicate daily and monthly inventory movements of 7 products at over 30 locations across GROWMARK’s multistate energy territory. The report allowed me to keep a pulse on our energy product inventory and movement. The unique part of the role: no two days are the same. I had the exclusive opportunity to step-in and fill my teammates’ shoes in their absence to fulfill their daily job functions. This required me to be trained across multiple positions and fuel products. My ability to learn quickly and acclimate allowed me to switch between tasks. I also worked to evaluate team processes and opportunities to increase efficiency followed by creating documentation of the newly established process.

From recruitment event to the offer stage, I strived to provide transparency and support to all candidates. I coordinated with former GROWMARK interns and current employees to facilitate the GROWMARK Associate Program - a rotational trainee opportunity for new graduates. I also maintained a network of relationships across North America connecting GROWMARK and FS System employees, campus faculty and staff, emerging talent, and industry leaders.

I recommended a mobile point of sale vendor who completed the GROWMARK and FS System’s in-the-field payment acceptance needs. My vendor vetting research included operating systems capabilities, transaction amounts, security compliance, customer support availability and branding capabilities. I also prepared professional documents representing GROWMARK, Inc., worked with department supervisors and employees to promote a pilot program for a mobile point of sale and began to research the cost effectiveness of offering a mobile point of sale.

State My Passion by energetically representing Illinois State University Department of Agriculture as an ambassador at high school and community college recruiting events. I networked with not only students at the events but faculty from other colleges and members of the agriculture industry.

I had the opportunity to intern for two consecutive National FFA Conventions (2012, 2013). Assigned and freelance interviews included: RFD-TV founder, Australian Dept. of Ag representative, keynote address presenters, National FFA Officer team, Busch Garden and Sea World animal caretakers and more. NAFB affiliates were able to download for use on their own stations, my photographs, interview description and interviews. .

I created enticing marketing materials in the area of seed and field additive products for 17 locations across central Illinois. I also built a customer database containing 1200 addresses for the Eastern Illinois Division which were utilized for marketing purposes. My passion for FFA was incorporated into the internship by creating a field sign project partnering with local FFA chapters across the Division.

I communicated Agriculture's story to 500,000 listeners in Illinois and Indiana. Stories included State Secretaries of Agriculture, 4-H members, FFA State officers, controversial industry topics and everything in between to maintain my content calendar at 20 county fairs, 5 industry shows and the Illinois State Fair. I also became tech savvy with Adobe products and radio equipment not only in the production studio but out in extreme elements.
