Focused on identifying M&A, investment and other strategic or non-traditional opportunities to enhance the DICK’S athlete experience and drive DICK’S long-term strategy. Lead Corporate Development as a matrix organization, reporting directly to CFO. Source, evaluate and develop inorganic growth opportunities, including acquisition, divestitures, strategic transactions, and growth investments. Develop investment theses for M&A opportunities. Conduct research and evaluate macro trends to inform theses and long-term strategies, valuation, and deal structures. Serve as point person to investment bankers, private equity, and other related advisors for pipeline development. Work collaboratively with cross-functional leaders to keep Corporate Development a business-first function.

Direct report to SVP, General Counsel, with department management responsibilities. Broad ranging legal role with people and program management responsibilities.

Direct report of the Chairman and CEO. Handpicked by the CEO for this inaugural role. Involved in all strategic initiatives. Act as liaison and facilitator between the executive leadership team and CEO to develop long-term strategy, facilitate cross-functional initiatives and drive the agenda of the executive leadership team. Work across IR, PR, Marketing, and HR to develop consistency and continuity in CEO messaging. Dotted-line advisor to company’s key merchandising leaders.

Lead associate on a broad range of corporate matters, including public and private company mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, private placements, and securities and stock exchange listing compliance. - M&A: Represented domestic and global companies in multibillion- and multimillion-dollar M&A transactions. - Securities Offerings: Lead associate on several securities transactions and underwritten common stock offerings totaling ~$2B.- IPOs: Counseled on several early-stage preparations for IPOs.- Management: Managed deal teams of various sizes consisting of corporate attorneys and legal specialists to achieve the clients’ transaction objectives.
