At Canopy Team, we create transformational places that build community. We are a women-led, multi-disciplinary practice that serves as an expansion of your team for all aspects of the built environment, from large scale capital projects and developments to creative sponsorship and seating concepts, graphics, colors, and artwork. Utilizing great urban design and visionary planning, we partner with a variety of clients (including sports teams, education and training programs, and cultural and civic institutions) to build places that transcend their primary purpose into community gathering points and civic treasures. Our team of planning, design, and development experts is led by renowned visionary and urban planner, Janet Marie Smith, who pioneered the renaissance of urban sports across the US, and her partner Fran Weld, whose work at the intersection of real estate, public policy, and sports has earned national recognition. Rooted in their unique approaches to individual teams and cities, and legendary commitment to details, we deliver iconic spaces of passion and pride.
