• Marine Engineering Support Team (MEST) Social club is a committee that coordinated regular events to the 500+ members in the New Zealand Navy and Babcock International, allowing networking, improving the overall atmosphere and encouraging enthusiasm within our workplace. • My role as the treasurer of the MEST social club involved overseeing all the financial administration which includes coordination of the cash flow for events, development of monthly and annual reports, and advocation for funds. In addition managed schedule and resources for events by liaising with the senior leadership team at Babcock and New Zealand Navy.

• Delivered projects coordinating Integrated Logistic Support Team and Critical Safety Items Team ensuring critical safety projects are prioritised and delivered on schedule to meet fleet milestones.• Developed Equipment Management Policy Statements (EMPS) for mechanical, pneumatic & communication systems in HMNZS Manawanui and HMNZS Canterbury.• EMPS describes ship systems by providing its operation and availability within the ship, corresponding publications, relevant standard maintenance activities, original equipment manufacturer (OEM), procurement, etc. My role as the project lead required understanding the operations of the equipment/system within the ship, coordination and communication with the ship's staff, technical operators and managers, respective OEMs, procurement team, and navy storage depot to develop EMPS.

• Developed a patented wearable device marketed to the fitness industry, which measures muscular movements to output muscle strength and fatigue.

• Project was based on measuring heart pressure in a non-invasive approach using ultrasound technology. Worked alongside leading professors and clinicians from ADHB and MercyAscort.• Developed an experimental fluid system and heart prototypes for different heart conditions to study the applicability of ultrasound in a controlled laboratory environment.• Conducted experiments on the developed setup and the results showed preliminary promises to supplement a new technique to the clinics• Produced technical drawings using Solidworks and used MATLAB for data acquisition and analysis.

• Worked alongside professors, clinicians, sonographers and research SMEs from WDHB, ADHB, AUT and UoA on developing system to bridge invivo and invitro non-invasive cardiac meassurements. • Developed and presented a prototype graphical user interface using MATLAB that inputs blood velocity data from ultrasound machines and converts to blood pressure measurements.

• Developed haemodynamic algorithms by analysis of pressure data from invasive and non-invasive patient studies to breach the gap between practical and theoretical models using Wolfram Mathematica software. • The results were presented to sponsors at the Waitematā DHB promises to supplement clinics.• Managed technicians and coordinated with professors at Auckland University of Technology and clinicians in Northshore Hospital based on a manufactured medical device (USCOM 1A) that measures blood pressure and velocity.

• Failure analysis study – - Worked under my supervisor in the extrusion department on a project based on finding the failure cause leading to denting of the extruded aluminium bars. - Conducted a root cause analysis (RCA) approach to determine the staking arrangement during transportation of the Aluminium bars were the cause of this failure. - Developed conceptual crane designs with conducted FMEA study to minimise the failure.

• Time-motion study: - Objective: Improving the production process of TGV and TGV2 door panels. - Execution: Liaised with SMEs and zone managers on processes and framework. Conducted time motion tests for 3 weeks covering the painting, powder coating, fabrication, and packaging sectors. - Output: Identified and eliminated waste motions within production and streamlined process which led to optimizing the production process by 15%. • Quality analysis study: - Objective: Investigate variations in fluid conductivity and pH range while monitoring and controlling the quality of anodizing tanks. - Execution: Collected pH and conductivity data from three anodizing tanks. Conducted a quality analysis with current data and promising historic data in Microsoft excel. - Output: Presented variation and trend analysis to the engineering board and proposed solutions to improve the monitoring & control process. A month after, a quality analysis study was conducted and proved success in the proposed monitoring & controlling process.
