Supporting the actions of our charitable organization to promote and support FIRST Robotics programs throughout Western Canada. In particular, assisting with the FIRST Robotics Competition Western Canada Regional, which is Western Canada's top level youth robotics tournament.

Assisting the Regional Director with:• Team Communication ensuring: Registration is complete, fees are paid, grant applications are submitted, answering team queries, and preparing Regional Director Update Newsletter for teams.• Planning and running the FRC Western Canada Regional Competition and other major events under FIRST Robotics Western Canada’s purview.• Planning FIRST presence at and attending promotional and PR events (eg. BeakerHead, Calgary Mini Maker Faire, Science Olympics, etc.) and meeting with interested parties and stakeholders to promote FIRST Robotics.Communications management of:• Contacts database of Teams, Mentors, Coaches, Volunteers, and other relevant parties.• Mass communications to all groups, including serving as single point of contact for replies and queries• Event invitations to teams, the public, and media for events• Social Media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn

Providing videography, computer, data analysis & graphing, and research poster preparation services to clinical researchers on a part-time basis.

Research Assistant in the following roles:Pediatric Surgery/Urology - Assisting with data abstraction from case reports for a study in renal colic management.Developmental Pediatrics - Assisting with data presentation and manuscript preparation for ASD screening tool research.

CHE211 Fluid MechanicsConducted tutorial sessions and developed & graded weekly tutorial assignments. Developed, administered, and graded the course design project. Assisted in developing and grading the final exam.

Performed immunohistochemistry and microscopy on histological samples with subsequent statistical analysis of data.Developed skilles with optical and confocal laser scanning microscopy, as well as laboratory staining techniques.

Developed strategic plan for the 2011 season including: -Developing and implementing financial management protocols -Managing a $40,000 team budget -Sponsorship plan for new and existing industry partners -Competition travel arrangements -Implementing inventory management protocols -Coordinating logistics for component manufacture, vehicle fabrication, and assemblyConducted a mass analysis project of the 2010 vehicle detailing the mass of each component on the vehicle, and outlined a strategy for reducing vehicle weight in the 2011 season.

Interacting with and explaining scientific concepts to visitors. Development and performance of brief science demonstrations for visitors.Assisted in planning the 2008 Chevron Science Olympics.
