An RFID Sensor and Landmark Identification System for the Personal Dead Reckoning (PDR) Tracker Purpose:Is it possible to use RFID technology to automatically gather ground-truth path information, making it easier to evaluate revisions to the Personal Dead Reckoning (PDR) system such as new sensors?Responsibilities:  Conduct research publications on previous experiments using RFID technology.  Select an RFID evaluation kit and become familiar with its capabilities and limitations.  Build and test a working prototype ground-truth land marking system using RFID tags.  Test if this new device would benefit the PDR system and try to implement this new concept to make the PDR testing efficient and accurate. Test the PDR packs to evaluate using single-axis semiconductor-based gyroscopes in addition to the currently used semiconductor-based foot-mounted IMU.
