I began work at Rolls-Royce at 16 as a Technical apprentice following my GCSE’s, since then I have worked across multiple sites in the Turbines SCU in a manufacturing engineering capacity. The breadth of this role has meant I’ve had to utilise my engineering and leadership skills to lead and manage multiple projects and initiatives, examples include:- Continuous Improvement of highly complex products and processes to meet KPI’s (Quality, Cost and Delivery) utilising methods such as lean six sigma- Project management of legacy and new products to various factories across the UK of which once complete I transitioned into a consultant role / Technical point of contact- Lead new product introduction activities into the facility from concept to manufacture- Utilise aerospace standards and specifications in line with Advanced Product Quality Planning- Led a number of engineers and apprentices in a technical and leadership capacity to meet deadlines and KPI milestone plans- Delegated by the factory Technical Authority to review and assess product and process risk and sentence any deviations to the fixed process I have also completed a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering which serves as my bedrock and foundation for the aforementioned projects.I am currently working on attaining my PCA delegation which will allow me to sentence and approve method/source changes to the fixed process across the Turbines SCU.Since my tenure I have become proficient with the following tools and softwares:- Minitab Statistical Analysis- Primavera P6 Project planning- Siemens NX and Teamcenter - SAP method creation and capacity planning- Measurlink 6 Statistical Analysis- Tableu Statistical Analysis- Microsoft Project- Simatic IT MES
