About Amir Khamsehnezhad
My background covers almost the whole range of polymer science starting from the crude oil well head, distillation, chemical refining processes, petrochemical processes, polymer processing, characterization and process optimization and welding and assembly of plastic components. Currently working on number of different projects and areas covering physical/chemical aspects of polymers and polymer composites (thermoplastics mainly). Number of niche areas that i work on are welding of plastics, which includes development of welding procedures and qualification methods for welding procedures, non-destructive testing of joints and flaw acceptance criteria for joints made in these materials. I am also interested in fracture mechanics of polymers and polymer matrix composites, failure prediction and life time analysis of polymers and polymer welds.
