I joined Western Union to take on a much broader role as the Global Head of Digital Banking Technology, responsible for executing a digital transformation program to build and deploy mobile and web applications for Digital Banking, Crypto, and Prepaid products for launch in 6 countries. My program at WU was exciting, as we leveraged a fully cloud-based SaaS technology stack for UI, integration, and our core banking platform for our mobile and web applications, we also integrated with our Card issuer, card processor, KYC partners and manyI was able to build multiple products from the ground up, own all development and operations activities, use a fully cloud-based SaaS technology stack, as well as getting to build the entire organization was something I couldn’t pass up. IMPACT AND VALUE:>> Successfully launched Digital Banking on mobile and web in 4 EU countries, with a 2024 planned launch dates for countries in South and North America>> Successfully launched Prepaid cards product on mobile and web in the US>> Created an organizational strategy and hired 320 people globally, across the US, Spain, Brazil, and India
