I am excited about the current revolution in genomics and its transformative potential to advance basic and applied sciences. I apply various genomic and bioinformatic methods to study neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases. Research areas include whole genome sequencing of filarial nematode parasites, biomarker discovery and diagnostic test development through genome mining, phylogenomic studies of evolution and diversity of Wolbachia endosymbionts, and investigating the microbiome and virome of deer ticks. For more details on parasitology research at NEB, see our website https://www.neb.com/research/parasitology, and a short video update: https://www.neb.com/en-us/tools-and-resources/video-library/neb-tv-ep-24-neglected-tropical-diseases.
Listed skills include Genomics, Developmental Biology, Gene Expression Profiling, Bioinformatics, and 16 others.
