Thermax Limited is engaged in the business of manufacture and sale of boilers, heating and cooling equipment, industrial chemicals, and water and waste management equipment. Thermax limited mainly uses the Submerged Arc Welding technique for welding of boiler shell and heating and cooling equipments. PEMA machine used for making boiler wall panels using the SAW welding technique. Nozzle with a single wire electrode was used previously which gives welding speed of around 770 mm per min. But this was still a slow process and localized welding of the nozzle and the nozzle rod was taking place. So we had designed a new nozzle with twin wire and overcame all the difficulties and achieved welding speed almost twice of the previous up to 1400 mm per min.

- Successfully led and managed a team of 11 members.- Successfully designed the robot mechanism, structure, and manufactured robots according to the requirement with my team.- Taught mechanical design and manufacturing basics, pneumatic basics to new interns along with Solidworks and Ansys basics. Also, I guided the junior design engineers for the detailed designing and analytical validation of the robot.- We whole as a team (Team ASTROS) ranked 21 out of 120+ teams in the Robocon Nationals.
