• I supported a couple of hedge fund managers in helping them evaluate investment opportunities for their fixed income portfolios. In particular I was responsible for the following steps in company analysis -
• conducting in-depth analysis of the financial statements, building financial models, and writing credit reports;
• assigning shadow/synthetic credit ratings, especially for large unrated companies, using Moody’s methodology;
• analysing periodical updates provided by the issuers, including modified business plan/forecasts, corporate developments, and capital structure changes;
• conducting enterprise and equity valuations of the issuers, using several valuation techniques;
• participating in issuer’s management-investors meets, and conducting site visits to develop in-depth understanding of the issuer’s business model; and
