Here my main responsibilities are:-1) Ensures that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place to guide the Company’s financial decision-making and development, 2) Ensures implementation of the Company’s Chart of Accounts and making recommendations for improvement in accounting process and workflow as and when required.3) Participates in management and other meetings related to the operations of the Finance Department.4) Makes recommendation to management regarding staff appraisals and provides functional Forecasting & Budgeting5) Prepares annual operating and capital budgets and forecasts aligned to strategic plans and in accordance with the Company’s guidelines and policies.6) Monitors budget performance and periodically generates budget variance and analysis reports.7) Ensures Key Performance Indices of the Finance Function. 8) Financial Controlling, Analysis & Reporting 9) Ensuring compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), UAE Labor Law, Banking Law, Central Bank Regulations & Industry practices. 10) Liaises with external auditors to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and statements.11) Takes responsibility for the monthly and annual closing of accounts and preparation of individual as well as consolidated financial statements of the group in compliance with the applicable financial reporting framework.12) Well versed with financial analysis and valuation techniques, project appraisal, variance analysis and trend analysis.13) Monitor the Company liquidity in all bank accounts and ensures that appropriate funds are available to finance operations.

The Group deals with the Export and local sale of Refrigerant and industrial Gases, and also the only authorized Distributor of Honeywell USA. Where I worked on a number of initiatives, summary of some is stated below;1) Day to day financial operations with regard to financial Accounting include Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Accounts payable, Project Costing, Inventory, Cash Flow projections, Revenue Accounting, credit and corrections to contribute to overall financial and performance results.Ensures that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place to guide the Company’s financial decision-making and development, particularly in relation to reserves, expenses and income streams.2) Review A/P invoices for appropriate documentation and approval and ensuring proper backups are provided, amounts are matching the related PO and verifying the quantity with GRN.3) Ensure correct allocation of expense type, and GL account code were entered and cost allocated are budgeted.4) Prepare the weekly costs analysis reports and reconciliation of costs report with project cost management team.5) Preparing monthly expenses accruals and maintain a control sheet for all prepaid expenses and prepare the journal entries for the monthly amortization of prepaid expenses to the respective cost centers6) Ensure timely provision by operating departments for incorporation in accounting records prior to closure of books.7) Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accountants (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable 8) Recording projects revenues based on the percentage of completion.9) Preparing monthly detailed management reports (MIS), reconciliations, and schedule for all accounts.10) Preparing consolidated financial statements for all business lines with schedule quarterly basis.
