Ammad (he/him) is a passionate first generation student currently pursuing a degree in public health on a premed track at the University of Texas at Austin while simultaneously pursuing his intellectual passions for philosophy. His passion for healthcare reform was ignited in high school when he undertook a project on the relationship between socioeconomic status, race, and healthcare access which exposed the harsh realities faced by many in accessing quality healthcare.Apart from his studies, Ammad is involved in various roles and experiences that reflect his commitment to creating positive change. He is a Biotech Development Intern at Endless Health, where he is learning and developing new health technologies. He also serves as the Executive Director of MedSTEMPowered, a community of over 4,000 members, and founded the organization's International Program. In the summer of 2024, he will join the Wye River Group as a Health Policy Intern to dive into the field of policy reform in healthcare.Ultimately, Ammad aspires to use his motivation and talents in business and healthcare to drive the change he wishes to see in the world.
