Senior AssociateAs Senior Audit Associate my job responsibilities comprises of involvement in various types of assignments relating to assurance including external audit and other assignments, related to different sectors such as financial institutions, public sector audits etc. The major tasks I had performed during the audit engagements include the following:1. Initial planning of the job and identifying areas involving risk, assessment and designing the tests of controls2. Working on financial statements disclosures prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards.3. Reviewing the work done by the junior team members and getting it reviewed by the engagement managers;4. Designing the substantive procedures in consultation with the engagement supervisor and manager;5. Preparation of other deliverables, such as, management letter identifying control weaknesses, its implications and recommendations;

I worked as Supervisor at Ernst & Young for almost six months. In this role, my job responsibilities comprises of involvement in assignment relating to statutory audits, internal audit and system reviews. The major tasks I performed during the engagement include the following:1. Annual planning for the client portfolio including assigning of staff member as well as time and budget planning of my own jobs.2. Assisting partner/senior manager in initial meetings with client.3. Looking over a portfolio of clients and being reportable to senior manager and partner. 4. Initial planning of the engagement.5. Confirm understanding of the flow of significant routine, non-routine, and estimation transactions. For each anomaly, validate controls identified to prevent or detect and correct potential errors.6. Review walkthroughs to confirm understanding of flows of transactions and related controls, preliminary evaluation of the effectiveness of the relevant controls. 7. Obtaining the detail understanding of core business processes identifying process owners, major activities and identify risks involved in the process and evaluating the Internal Control Systems.8. Reviewing the work done by the engagement team members and getting it reviewed by the managers.9. Liaison at various levels of client management to maintain cooperative relationships.10. Meetings with client for the resolution of various issues identified during the assignment.11. Preparation of external audit report and internal audit reports identifying control weaknesses, its implications and recommendations.

I worked as Audit senior at Ernst & Young till December 2011, where I joined as a junior associate on September 03, 2007. During my stay in the firm, my job responsibilities comprises of involvement in various types of assignments relating to audit and assurance including external audit engagements, review engagements, and other assignments related to different sectors such as manufacturing concerns, financial institutions, government sector audits etc. The major tasks I performed during the audit engagements include the following:1. Application of Ernst & Young Global Audit Methodology (GAM) 2. Assessment of control risk and designing the tests of controls for specific areas in consultation with the engagement manager;3.
