My job as a Foundry Metallurgist was focused with (Main responsibilities):• Control and monitor chemical and physical properties of production castings.• Responsible for the design of new gray iron brake product to fulfill customer needs,• Improve and monitor foundry processes and procedures.• Raw materials Inspection and approval as per requirements and Specifications.• Ensure sand and metal lab function efficiently.• Maintain safe and productive foundry with new materials, process refinement, etc.• Fulfill customer requirements and assist in new part launch.

Area of Experience & Technical Knowledge:i) Expertise in Melting Technique (Coreless Induction furnaces, Holding and pouring furnaces).ii) Refractory works for (furnaces, ladle...) Prepare, installation, Sintering, Cure and Repair works.iii) Carry out all metallographic Lab Work (alloy phases, nodule count, Nodularity %).iv) Experience with Foundry Sand Test Equipment.v) Experience with Different Sand moulding system (Green Sand, Furan and No bake), Cold Box, Shell Core Making and Core Shop.vi) Knowledge with tooling design (mold & pattern) & gating design.vii) Casting Defect Investigation and Analysis by using problem solving techniques.viii) Assist in the Investigation of customer complaints and/or high frequency problems to identify root cause and develop and implement the corresponding corrective action.ix) Fettling Equipment, Blast Cleaning, surface preparation, Powder & Liquid Coatings.
