My postdoctoral work at Prof. Timothy Hand’s lab involved studying the role of diet and infection on immune disruptions. My findings from this study revealed that a subset of microbiota driven Tregs could drive oral vaccine failure during environmental enteropathy. During my postdoc, I have also been involved in other projects involving gut immune disorders such as colitis, colon cancer and toxoplasma infection.

I did my PhD under the guidance of Prof Subrata Majumder at the Division of Molecular Medicine, Bose Institute .My doctoral work involved studying the role of macrophage Prostaglandin E2 signaling during Visceral Leishmaniasis. I addition, I have worked on combination drug therapy , DC based vaccines and TH17/Treg biology. I was awarded the 2016 Nil Ratan Sirkar award for my efforts as a doctoral student .
