PolicyCenter is a web-based underwriting and policy administration system designed for personal and commercial line carriers in the property and casualty insurance (P&C) industry.As the central point for all policy processes, PolicyCenter streamlines the process of submitting applications, renewing policies, and managing policy changes for both producers and underwriters.We use Guidewire Studio as the integrated development environment (IDE) to configure PolicyCenter to meet our business needs. In Studio, we can control workflow, jobs, PCF screens, typelists, rules, and Gosu.Responsibilities and Key deliverables:As the offshore configuration developer, involved in the design and Configuration of Guidewire PolicyCenter to support the features and functionality required by the Personal Auto/Commercial Auto line of business. Programming in Gosu (Also known as GScript)Coordination between the offshore team in India and the onsite team. Cross release coordination to ensure alignment between the Personal Auto/Commercial Auto lines of businesses.Conduct code reviews to check for adherence to coding standards.Involved in task and effort allocation using RTC. Involved in the Configuring the Claim Center by Coding Rules, PCF configuration, Data Model Changes, GW scripts. Understanding the Business Specification Document and Analyzing Functional impact. Guidewire ClaimCenter is the property and casualty insurance industry’s first and most widely used web-based claims system built entirely on modern technology. ClaimCenter is in production for all lines of business, giving claims staff and management the modern productivity tools they need, within a sophisticated business rules-based claims application which provides insurers complete control over the claim process.
