- Led the Discovery, Analysis & Design, and Implementation phases of ARIS Local project, which enabled: 1) the collection of school-based student assessment data from school users, 2) combined this “local” data with centrally tracked information in NYCDOE’s Achievement Reporting and Innovation System (ARIS), and 3) reported local and centrally tracked data in ARIS in order to increase the frequency by which educators evaluate student performance indicators and adjust strategy, curriculum, and classroom practice- During the Discovery phase, gathered, defined, and prioritized user requirements for collecting and analyzing student performance data captured at the school level; led 5 focus groups and 50 site visits & interviews with educators, school leaders, and school support staff, and designed and implemented a survey to all schools that resulted in a 70% response rate- Co-developed a grant proposal to fund both Analysis & Design and Implementation phases of the project, resulting in ~$3M of funding by the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) - Developed and managed relationships with over 20 vendors of diverse educational technology products in order to evaluate the Commercial-Off-the-Shelf market and inform ARIS Local solution design- Designed a comprehensive framework to evaluate build and buy technology solutions and recommended an enterprise-wide technology solution and implementation strategy to NYCDOE’s Chief Academic Officer (executive sponsor)

- Designed and managed the Data Verification and Redesign Initiative, a project that simplified the process of viewing, verifying, and correcting high-stakes, state and federal accountability data for ~1650 schools- Analyzed a database of ~25,000 data correction requests from schools, as well as survey results from over 500 schools, in order to evaluate the 2007 - 2008 data verification process and develop recommendations for improvement for the 2008 – 2009 school year- Designed and managed a process to quickly identify, diagnose, and reconcile data discrepancies between city and state data repositories, leading to a 50% reduction in effort required from schools to verify and correct data, as well as improved accuracy and confidence in school accountability outcomes (evidenced by a 27% increase in match rates between city and state data repositories and a 34% reduction in schools’ requests to correct data in DOE data systems)- Led the design, development, and deployment of easy-to-use, real-time data reports to schools, contributing to a 23% increase in school participation in data verification
