PROFILE=======My current focus is on geospatial information and data management, and how good data can drive decisions to benefit both enterprises and their customers.My role managing GIS and network inventory has fuelled my passion for data and information presentation and given me a strong belief in the power of well managed data and systems to deliver business-changing customer experience and organisational efficiency.My background allowed me to bring my experience in networking, and knowledge of customer needs, to drive positive change in the business by driving inventory that meets the needs of our customers first and foremost and that accurately reflects the changing realties of the network.EXPERIENCE===========16 years in the Internet & Telecommunications industry in a variety of roles from ISP NOC, to transmission engineer, IP activations, IP engineering & network design in both back office and customer facing roles as well as Unix administration. For the last four and a half years I have been the Network Inventory Manager at TelstraClear / Vodafone New Zealand, responsible for data stewardship, system management, and operation of VFNZ's geospatial inventory systems (Smallworld physical and logical inventory) as well as other systems responsible for network inventory, including customer connection records. In this role I manage a team of data maintainers, software developers, and DBA/system administrators. Highly technical, analytical mind. Active problem solver committed to Right Solutions.
