Senior Map Analyst
CurrentWorking at Ticketmaster has really been a turning point in my career. Coming from an architecture background, transitioning into the world of ticketing was absolutely unexpected, but three years later I can’t be more grateful for the opportunity. Over the past few years, I’ve gone from knowing almost nothing about this business to becoming a key resource for my team.As a Senior Map Analyst, my main responsibility is to build accurate, detailed seatmaps that fit the specific needs of each event and venue across different markets. I also review the data and graphical information provided, making sure everything meets the event’s requirements, and I collaborate with the markets to resolve any issues with live seatmaps, ensuring that problems are addressed quickly and effectively.In addition to building seatmaps, as a senior member of the team, I review my colleagues’ work, provide guidance on complex projects, and assist with technical troubleshooting as needed.Apart from my primary tasks, I also contribute to testing new versions of our seatmap-building tool, which is based on a 3D CAD system. My architectural background allows me to provide valuable feedback and identify improvements in the tools and workflows we use. This is a role I’m particularly proud of, as it combines my previous experience with the new skills I’ve gained at Ticketmaster.I’m truly thankful for everything I’ve learned in this role and for being part of a team that values personal growth and collaboration. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I look forward to continuing to develop my skills and contribute to Ticketmaster’s success.
