Hello, I'm Amy Batten!I’m a Freelance Writer and Photographer, and the creator of Big Sky Marketing.During my 15-year career, I have gained extensive experience in Journalism, Communications, Marketing and Advertising. I am now also savvy with Graphic Design, Podcasting and Photography.In 2021, I started Big Sky Marketing, which allows me to use my communication skills and experience to help businesses ‘tell their story.’ I do this by creating content for websites, writing newspaper articles, and media releases and developing social media content for businesses.I also offer services such as Photography, Graphic Design and Podcasting.In my recent contract roles, I have worked with agricultural organisations such as Ricegrowers’ Australia, Legacy Packing (Australia), and other local businesses. I was the trainer of the Berrigan Shire Council’s Tech Savvy Seniors program to those who want to better understand technology.I graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Business (International Business Management/Human Resource Management), and I hold an Advanced Certificate of Business & Marketing (Public Relations and Event Management) from the Australian College of Business and Marketing. I have recently graduated from further studies in Professional Freelance Journalism.As a former Newspaper Journalist, I dedicated my time at the Southern Riverina News and Deniliquin Pastoral Times where I created and managed the editorial and sports content in an engaging and timely fashion. I was also the Communications Officer at Murray Irrigation whereby my role was being responsible for internal and external communications, the distribution of the weekly newsletter Talking Water, and publishing the Murray Irrigation Annual Report.I am now dedicated to help businesses tell their story. This has proven to be an effective marketing tool to show transparency and authenticity to a wider audience.
