I teach developmental education and composition courses. Typically, I teach six courses a semester. I also advise the Butler Lantern newspaper.

I taught up to two courses ranging from developmental writing, argument, rhetoric, and composition courses while working on my Master of Applied Arts degree.

I oversaw all interaction among editors, chose the theme, designed the cover, and edited stories, photos, and design. I was in charge of communication among organizations and staffers.

I completed a 90-hour internship through Heartland Regional Medical Center. I wrote and edited news releases, scanned the St. Joseph News-Press for mention of the hospital's services, and helped with two campaigns, The Tour of Missouri and the flu.

As an English 100 Program Student Assistant, I led a small group of English 100 students. English 100 is a developmental reading and writing course at Missouri Western State University. Students enrolled in English 100 were required to attend a formal class setting as well as what is known as Writer's Workshop, which is led by a student assistant. As student assistants, we provided further review and assistance with the writing process in addition to writing techniques and revision.
