Working for this company part time has helped me strengthen communication skills. The company prides itself on the relationship with the customers, assessing their needs and giving informed advice on what would best suit them. I am always learning about new products and use my own experience as well as CPD training to ensure the customers get the best experience and leave satisfied.

A different retail environment than what I was used to, but equally rewarding. I developed interpersonal communication skills when talking to customers who were not always sure what part/item they needed. I worked here full time for the first 6 weeks of the temporary contract, which taught me time-management as to balance other projects and hobbies I was working on at the time.

The company invited me back to join the grotto staff in 2019 as well.

There were many aspects to this job (ticket sales, group leading, work within the grotto itself, cleaning), all performed within a time limit. I gained a lot from this experience, specifically communication skills and problem solving. I was in charge of leading groups of up to 20 children and their guardians through arts and crafts sessions, before they progressed through the grotto. I had to remain in character, with whatever problems presented themselves, no matter how hectic the shift was.
